Set on the mezzanine of The Public Theater, The Astor offers a rare downtown setting for private dining and events, wrapped in the history of one of New York's defining cultural institutions. Balcony seating overlooks the theater below, opening into a wood-paneled bar and dining room layered with decades of posters, photographs, letters and artifacts, anchored by a commissioned mural from artist André Carrilho.

Chef Andrew Carmellini's kitchen brings a modern take on classic American fare, paired with a cocktail program built around old New York drinking traditions. The Astor is the perfect setting for your next private dinner, cocktail reception, ladies' brunch or downtown celebration, accommodating parties of 12 to 175 guests.

Outside of The Astor, consider our stage at Joe's Pub for live entertainment, larger cocktail parties, daytime meetings and presentations, or your very own jazz brunch.
